The Cooee 2C takes the taller, cylindrical form of the Cooee 2 and fits it with a cylindrical reflector, directing the light straight down into a bright, glare-free pool on the table. Because the beam is so contained, it throws almost no reflection onto glass, which makes it a natural choice for tables set beside windows or glazed partitions.

Its body is metal-spun to a wall just 0.6mm thick over a durable polycarbonate core, light in the hand and robust enough for daily service. Rated IP64, it moves easily from a dining room to a sheltered terrace.

Choose from five finishes, sandblasted black, sandblasted bronze, anodised silver, or lacquered brass and copper, with a warm white or warm candle LED and brightness set by a touch of the base.

The lamp that launched a system

Cooee marked a turning point for NEOZ. Designed by Peter Ellis and Tammy Chiew, the range was built around a slim new cordless lamp controller running on a single lithium-ion cell, the next generation after halogen and the result of years of research. Quiet, portable and carefully judged, the Cooee family became one of the most enduring designs NEOZ has made, and the 2C is one of the most refined members of that family.

The Making

Spun to 0.6 of a millimetre

Like every Cooee, the 2C's elongated body is formed by metal spinning, worked down to a wall just 0.6mm thick over a durable polycarbonate core. Holding that slim, tapered profile through spinning is the hard-won part of the design, and it is what gives the lamp its lightness in the hand and its clean, uninterrupted silhouette on the table. It is a small object made with real precision, built to be handled day in and day out.

The 2C takes the taller, cylindrical proportions of the Cooee 2 and fits them with a cylindrical reflector rather than an open diffuser. That reflector pushes the light straight down into a bright, controlled pool on the table while keeping the source out of the eyeline, so there is very little glare and almost no reflection cast onto nearby glass. It is the choice for a taller lamp on tables set beside windows, mirrors or glazed partitions.

Your Cooee 2C is made to move, which is exactly why operators asked us to help them keep it close. The Cordless Lamp Lock secures it to the table itself. A low-profile plate fixes discreetly to the surface, the lamp locks on with a single press, and a dedicated key releases it. No tools, no brackets, and nothing a guest would ever notice.

It lets you place cordless light where you could not before. Outdoor terraces, bar tops and street-facing tables can carry your Cooee 2C with the confidence it will still be there tomorrow. The Cordless Lamp Lock is made from 75% post-consumer recycled polycarbonate.

Why is the Cooee 2C good for tables near windows or glass?

The 2C uses a cylindrical reflector that directs the light downward and keeps the LED out of direct sight, producing a bright, glare-free pool of light with very little reflection cast onto nearby glass. In its taller cylindrical form, it suits tables set beside windows, mirrors or glazed partitions, where a more open lamp would reflect back in the glass.

How is the Cooee 2C different from the Cooee 2?

They share the same taller cylindrical body, but the light differs. The Cooee 2 uses an opal diffuser for a soft, ambient glow all around the lamp, while the 2C uses a cylindrical reflector for a focused, glare-free downlight with minimal reflection in glass. Choose the 2 for atmosphere and the 2C for a cleaner, directed light.

Can the Cooee 2C be used outdoors?

Yes. The Cooee 2C carries an IP64 rating, which makes it resistant to dust and water and suitable for sheltered outdoor settings such as terraces and poolsides, as well as full indoor use.

What LED colour options does the Cooee 2C offer?

The Cooee 2C comes with a warm white LED at 2600K as standard, with an optional warm candle LED at 1800K for a softer, more amber light. Both are high-CRI (93+) and share the same runtime.

How long does the Cooee 2C run, and how is it charged?

A full charge takes around 3.5 hours and gives up to 17.5 hours of light on the high setting, extending to around 55 hours on low. Brightness is set with a touch of the base across three levels. The lamp ships with an N1 Charging Base, which includes AU, UK, EU and USA wall plugs.

Is the Cooee 2C serviceable and compatible with NEOZ charging and security systems?

Yes. Every major part is user replaceable, including the battery, light source and diffuser, and NEOZ offers repairs and servicing. Every N1 lamp works with all NEOZ charging systems, from the single N1 Charging Base up to the 48-lamp trolley. The Cooee 2C is also compatible with the Cordless Lamp Lock, which applies to N1 lamps whose serial number begins with L, for example LA1234.
